|P| Farmer Nodar a.k.a. "a 21st century farmer"

Nodar is the 4th generation of an organic farmers family in Vakisopeli. He spends his days from the end of April till the beginning of Octobre on his farm with no electricity, no internet and a very complex access to the closest village; a 14 km walk to shuapkho, a village of 70 people. On the farm his social network consists of his mother, 18 cows, 1 bull, 4 dogs, 9 chickens, a few thousand bees and the occasional passerby (Mostly to pick up some homemade wodka). From Octobre to the end of April he lives with his mother and the dogs in Dusheti, a city of 6000 people, 80 km away from his farm. Here, he spends most of his time selling the cheese, honey and potatoes on social media, such as facebook.

He is a 25 year old young man and finds his lifestyle quiet difficult. 'We are in the 21st century. There is so much technology out there. I'm a young man and feel like I can get so much more out of my life', he says. He is very much in doubt about his future as a farmer in Georgia. He likes farming, but can't stand being disconnected from society half of the year. 'This might be my last summer on the farm' he says doubting... Nodar's big dream is to become a programmer and designer of a successful app. He wants to be a CEO! His curiousity and knowledge for apps and technology is special to see on this remote location. We had plenty of discussions about apps where he wants to know all details about and understand how they work. He regurarly surprised us with his knowledge and vision on the world. Giving up his farm and reprogramming his life needs time and thought of course. Everyday you see him daydreaming and sinking away in thoughts of his future. We are very curious to see what his future will bring! 'Take action in some direction!', is one of Nodar's favorite quotes and life philosophies.
