|P| Farm COWS a.k.a. "the milk machines"

Ninetheen they are: eighteen cows and one bull to assure the kinship. Twelve cows are milked twice a day by hand. Six by Nodar and the other six by his mother Sanata. In the morning they milk them at 6 AM. After this morning session, they are let free to graze on the grassy hills around the farm; of course with the supervision of the all seing cow dog Mura! In the evening, they are milked when they are back at the farm; They decide!

As we eat supper after the evening milking process and we go to bed after supper, they actually control our night rythm. Together with Nodar and his mother, we waith every evening for them on the edge of the hill to welcome them home.

The cows have a central role at the farm. Their milk is used to make cheese, which is the main business of the farm and the most important source of food for the family. The byproduct of the cheese making process, they use to feed the dogs and chickens and their manure to feed the soil. Nothing goes to waste and everything is part of the farm's circle of life.
