|H| Organic market in 'La Bourboule'

A small association of organic farmers gather together weekly in La Bourboule for a morning-long 100% organic market. It's an amazing happening, as the city provides space and supports local biological farmers, which is quiet unique in France. This organic market is only one out of the three markets in the whole region of "Puy-de-Dôme".

Brigitte, our WWOOFing host, is also part of the association and one of the farmers on the market three months a year, from july till september. She sells products based on medicinal plants homemade on her farm 'La Palfichade'. These are mostly crafted into balms, infusions, pestos and oils. Her favorite plants to work with are nettles, arnica, and gentian and comfrey, from which she uses everything, from leave to root.
